Hazmat Workshops

In July 2016, the Jim Hogg County Local Emergency Planning Committee hosted an emergency preparedness workshop in Hebbronville, Texas. The purpose of the workshop was to to help answer questions about what local officials need to know about major hazmat transportation incidents.

The report below, prepared by Texas A&M Transportation Institute researchers, outlines key issues that emerged during the workshop. Also included is a brief flow chart of steps local responders can take in an emergency to find assistance, and an emergency response and preparedness contact list.
